They are both wrong. Coolsculpting by the manufacturer’s own admission does cause paradoxical hyperplasia 1% of the time. It is a horribly disfiguring side effect that causes a hard mass that has to be removed surgically. But it gets worse. You have to wait a year and it has to be removed surgically.

I am not a doctor. But our medical director, Dr Lisa Zdinak read about the side effects and absolutely banned any remote idea of subjecting her patients to that risk.

Its truly a no brainer. Do the research and make your own decision. But it is a no brainer. Smoother tighter skin, or more loose skin and a risk of paradoxical hyperplasia. Maybe I should make this my mission.

How many trips to the gym does it take you to get 20,000 crunches ? Even if you did 1000 crunches each time, thats 20 trips. How about 1 trip to a doctor’s office ? Obviously a doctor’s office is going to be a lot “cleaner” in fact they are now sanitized in between every patient. Personally once i got rid of toe nail fungus and athlete’s foot I stopped showering at the gym. They always were the place with the most germs, bacteria, fungus and viruses. Truth be told I am part of it. But I can tell you that when we built it in 2007, we put split duct AC in every room for luxury. Turns out its what is best for fresh air and safety. We used fresh linens for each patient for luxury. Turns out they are medically sanitized also perfect for today. You dont want to lay on the same surface as a person before you. Some non self serving information, the consumables for Emsculpt are very low and the prices are very competitive. So no matter where you live try to negotiate a great price. However some info self serving or not, you might not need Emsculpt. Emculpt makes muscles. Four treatments will add around 16% muscle with a loss of 19% fat. However do you really want to add muscle or bulk to that area ? Great if you are already thin. But many women simply want to lose fat. In that case make sure your provider has Exilis. Its a device made by the same people who make Emsculpt that merely shrinks fat. And in most cases Exilis is cheaper than Emsculpt. As I always say find a provider who has multiple technologies. There is no reason for that provider to try to sell you the “wrong” one. Many new places started calling themselves “cosmetic providers” with only an Emsculpt machine. So of course if thats all they have they will try to sell that even if its not the right treatment for you. Let me give you an example of a provider that you can feel comfortable with. To Be Clear  This is all about the cheeks and the jaw line   The lower face.  That is the area that the Thermage treatment  has the most obvious and dramatic results. That was more than 30 years ago 1988, I did not have great genes.  Notice the loss of volume and collagen in the cheeks.  Pronounced nasolabial  folds  ( the lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth).  Obvious thin skin, skin is practically hanging    Loss of volume in upper cheeks   This was so long ago I even had hair and a black leather jacket LOL.  I am not even smiling and you can see the skin is loose.

Age 53, 18 years later or 12 years ago.   I had one Thermage treatment.  Actually an improvement over my 35 year old self.  You can see my skin is tighter.   But I lost a lot if not all of  the collagen in my cheeks.  I think these pictures really make a compelling argument for the loss of collagen and a saggy lower jaw as the primary signs of aging,  as well as the restoration of collagen with Thermage as the most natural solution for a youthful face.   It is far superior to a face lift     Who needs thin skin stretched out over bones ? That doesn’t make you look younger. It merely makes you look older or like an old person with a facelift

ABOVE  AGE 64   I had one Thermage treatment September 2017  I was afraid I was finally getting too old and could no longer fight some loose skin, But its all gone and tight again.  Now if I can just get some botox for my forehead I can look even younger LOL

BELOW AGE  65  THERMAGE Today at 65  A perfectly straight jaw line, No double chin, No Chin fat, No jowls, No loose skin.  No Nasolabial folds or marionette lines (from the nose to the corner of the mouth.  Those lines are almost invisible which I actually had at 35 ( the top photo)

ABOVE  65   First time I did a second treatment in less than a year ( like the ladies do)   You have to admit, me at 64 and 65 there is zero signs of aging in my lower face. Do I need botox ? Yes.  Could I use a full head of hair ? LOL  maybe.  But as far as what Thermage can do.  Its done !  Go back and look at me at 35.  Would really expect me to have a perfectly straight jaw line, no jowls, no double chin.  Not a drop of loose skin on the lower face 30 years later ?  PS I  did not get cheek implants.  In fact its obvious that I havent even had botox in over 2 years  Any filler or botox is completely worn off.  This is Thermage and only Thermage
