How am I in the flow when everything is the worst its been in my life? Its easy. When most things are going right you have choices. When even a few things are bad, there is no urgency, you can be a perfectionist. When almost everything is right you can look at all of the options and dont really have to start on anything.
When there are back up plans or you know where there are piles of contingency funds its hard to get a sense of urgency. Your subconscious knows. You cant fool yourself.
However when you are up against the wall and the problems are at a tipping point thats when you have no choice. You can listen to 1000 seminars and read a thousand books, but do you really prioritize what is one, two, three and four? And if you have already decided what is going to give you your greatest ROI how often do you just do number one, the best you can, up to the point of diminishing returns?
I feel like I am in the zone. All is quiet. I know exactly what my highest priorities are nothing else matters. And little things, politics, news, personal feelings of mine and others, interruptions dont matter at all. I have an agenda that cant be upended. I dont care what anyone thinks. I am going to respectfully, carefully and expeditiously move my most important projects forward taking in everyones opinion but moving swiftly.
I not only love this space but I really think its going to lead to magical things happening
Maybe thats why underdogs do win. They have no choice. I am grateful. I have no choice today but to move forward. I am sure I am going to look back on this day and some of you are going to be flabbergasted when I admit exactly what was going on. Which I will from the other side.
Just couldnt help notice the extreme peace and calm as things got even worse and I got even quieter and more productive. And petty things no longer bother me. I am sure many of you know exactly what I mean. And many others are probably saying “you know what? You are right, when we started our bussines and our back was up against the wall we focused on basics and soared, today we are bogged down in BS, because we can afford to”. Bring back the do or die days. They are more fun and productive.
Now if I can figure out how to simulate that, then I can write a great book. But not sure you can fake that, because you know when you have a million in the bank. How can you possibly create a sense of urgency?
