Emsculpt vs Coolsculpt vs True Sculpt

Hi, this is John, offering free health and beauty advice. Are you feeling confused? Well, you’re not alone. Think about the countless machines and their bewildering names: CoolSculpting, Emsculpt, Emface, and Emtone. Cutera has products like TrueSculpt and TrueFlex, which took me about half a year to figure out.

It’s quite absurd. Back in 2007, when we started in this business, we were essentially alone. There was only one non-surgical device called Thermage, approved by the FDA in 2001 for treating wrinkles and rhytids (fancy word for wrinkles).

Nowadays, the landscape is completely different. There are over a hundred competitors, and most of them are encouraging you to book treatments. But seriously, even doctors struggle to keep up with all this information. It takes around 15 years of experience to truly understand the technologies like radio frequency, freezing fat, and ultrasound. You need to know what’s effective, what’s not, and the potential side effects for each treatment type. It’s a journey of trial and error, treating various individuals with different skin issues, from loose skin to stretch marks and cellulite.

So, if you’re considering these treatments, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. I recommend seeking out professionals with at least 10 or 15 years of experience. Do you really want to trust your skin care to a recently funded company that might not even stick around? I read about a firm that raised $100 million but only made $15 million in revenue. They didn’t even bother with plumbing – if things go south, they simply move. Is that really who you want to rely on for your long-term appearance?

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: CoolSculpting. They have a massive advertising budget, spending $100 million in a single year – more than some major car brands combined. However, CoolSculpting is not always effective and can even have paradoxical effects. Thats when the fat cells multiply like crazy gets hard as a rock, you have to wait a year and have it surgically removed. There are those horror stories out there, like Linda Evangelista’s experience. Why take such risks when there are safer alternatives?

Consider safety too. You might want to stick with doctor’s offices. I heard that a med spa used Emsculpt, an electromagnetic device, on a person with a pacemaker. They could have killed him Safety should be a priority. I also heard that the blue jean metal button was not turned inside out ( as you are supposed to and the patient got a third degree burn. So be careful.

Furthermore, when it comes to before-and-after pictures, the best results are often not available due to privacy reasons. Our patients that do multiple procedures and get the best outcomes will not allow before and afters. You could offer them the procedure for free. They just arent interested. Most of the before and afters are provided by the manufacturer which is why you often see the same ones on multiple websites.

Lastly, let’s discuss integrity. Some places push financing or long-term contracts, despite the fact that many procedures need repeating within a year. Don’t let anyone convince you to make rash decisions or put yourself into debt for a beauty treatment. It’s crucial to find a provider that cares about your well-being and won’t compromise your financial stability.

In conclusion, navigating the world of health and beauty treatments can be challenging. Use your common sense, prioritize safety and integrity, and seek out experienced professionals who genuinely care about your long-term satisfaction. Remember, taking care of your health and well-being is a gradual journey, and there’s no substitute for making informed decisions.”

I just realized I didnt discuss trusculpt. Tru Sculpt is made by Cutera. Intead of a hand held wand it uses a bunch of little pads. But common sense. A bunch of little pads are stuck in one place so the heat to “melt fat” cant go that high because the pads are stuck in one place the whole treatment. That causes two problems. The temperature cant go that high or you will get burned and the operator can move the wand wherever the fat is. Actually a third problem, the operator can go to an even higher temperature because as she monitors it she can then move to the next area when she reaches the absolute highest temperature for the most effective treatment.

PS I was at a seminar where the doctor was lecturing for Cutera. So I politely asked the question that I already knew the answer to. How do you compare Cutera ( stuck in one place) to hand help technologies. He said he has never used a hand held technology, like Exilis or countless other ones. I guess I should have been lecturing because he knew a lot less than me.

Sorry one last bit of confusion TruFlex same concept. Instead of one big paddle on the abs a bunch of stickies. Similar problem. I was speaking to an orthopedic surgeon and asked if TruFlex would be better to fix specific muscles. He said no, because electromagnetic like Emsculpt treats the whole muscle group. There is actually an even longer story associated with that. He had saved a young girl from a knee replacement which he did by strengthening the muscle group and stabilizing and strengthening her knee. That was why I approached him after the lecture and posed that question.
