Subconscious Eating Equals Subcutaneous Fat

This is probably the easiest thing you can do for health and beauty. I just stumbled upon it. As I work from home now, guess what? I own a refrigerator. I also go to Costco. So I have lots of pantries stuffed with food. Some good some bad. So there are cans of sardines and tuna and salmon and so much produce.

So there are great choices and there are still some bad choices although I am trying to slowly wean myself off of hard core sugary snacks with nuts and dried fruits.

For the first time in my life I am having trouble losing weight. In the past the moment I thought of losing weight a few days would pass and it was gone before I even thought of how I was going to do it.

Go ahead send the hate mail. Granted I was running 5 miles a day I was thirty years younger. I worked in a printing plant. So other than avoiding a shitty candy machine, it wasnt too tough. But maybe dont send the hate mail yet because I am struggling but I will figure it out, because I want to.

Even back then, I did have one big challenge I took clients out to lunch. But I had a trick for that. I could imagine whatever I wanted. I could salivate over fillet mignon and lobster and the dessert tray. I only need 2 seconds of will power.

When the waiter came, my only rule was whatever you are thinking is irrelevant just blurt out grilled salmon salad and a perrier.

Thats it 2 seconds. Most days the moment he walked away from the table I did have the urge to call him back. But I wasnt going to do that in front of my clients.

And number 2 ( fitting for this reason) I didnt want to be a fat sick alcoholic, like most salesman were. I was surrounded by motivation. And It was work.

Everyone at the infamous Palm Too or Sparks or Ruth Chris or wherever were either fat, and drunk and really died off quickly. Seeing guts so big they couldnt even get close to the table was motivating and made it obvious this was work and overeating was an occupational hazard.

Now I did allow myself some fun and variety if I was out on a date in the evening. But I loved looking good and feeling great more than I loved “food”

PS my favorite saying is
“Nothing tastes as good as looking good feels”

If you internalize this and memorize this you dont even have to read anything or diet anymore.

I actually wanted to write about something different this morning. Because I realized I was working at home, eating at least 3 meals a day at home and watching TV while I was eating.

Since I stopped watching TV to avoid feeling like shit watching how bad the world and our country is I realized that I was starting to eat consciously and was even enjoying certain foods.

So I stumbled upon this theory accidentally.

I wrote this yesterday when I woke up.

Subconscious eating makes subcutaneous fat.

How can you consciously eat shit? It doesn’t even make any sense. The problem is we rarely eat consciously. Imagine thinking about what you’re eating.

What you’re placing in your mouth. The fact that it’s actually going into your body and your body has to deal with it. What’s it going to do to your body? Will it make you fat? Are you even hungry? Why are you eating it?

It’s usually not even possible to have any of these thoughts because you’re watching TV. You’re talking to someone. Maybe you’re anxious. There is 100 things going on in your mind and none of them have anything to do with what you’re eating.

Being conscious is just not that complicated.

Think before you eat.

Think while you’re eating. It could actually really be enjoyable in a nice way.

The other day  I crunched on a miniature red pepper. Oh my God the sound and it exploded in my mouth. It tasted fabulous.

There is a lot of great food on this planet that wasn’t manufactured.

Eat consciously if you don’t want subcutaneous fat, don’t eat subconsciously try to remember that. 

Different things work for different people. A lot of people resonate with “nothing tastes as good as looking good feels”

But watching TV while eating? Really? Politics? Again from my other post if your subconscious can activate your body so physically that you can avoid getting hit by a car you didnt even see? Imagine what is going on in your body while you are watchching your favorite political channel while subconsciously eating and diverting all of your energy to your nervous system and your muscles getting ready for fight or flight, probably away from your digestive system.

If I was a scientist I would drop the acid test into your stomach to see what is going on while you are agitated when you watch TV. Measure your heart beat blood pressure. We are probably really doing incredible damage on so many levels when we watch TV and eat.

We have no idea how much harm you are doing to yourself besides getting overweight.
