Human beings operate exactly opposite to computers. A computer saves the “program” when everything is running perfectly. A human saves the worst memories.
Thats great so you dont keep sticking your hand in fire, but what other results does that produce.
Lets give an example by going back to a mythical female (that none of us of course knows). So some guy lied to her about not calling when he said he would, and he turned out to also be a drug addict, deadbeat and even beat her.
Now 10 years later she meets the perfect guy, great job, family, kind loving, respectful, loving, healthy, great job, and great provider.
But he was busy working and he forgets to call for one hour or is unable to. He is in the middle of a surgery or a meeting. So what does our mythical female do?
She assigns all the worst qualities to new guy as drug addict dead beat bad guy had and drives him away.
He says in disgust,”beautiful girl but just too neurotic and untrusting.
And PS he is a human too and he has painful memories embedded in his programming so she reminded him of the girl he went out with 10 years ago who was literally bipolar and he wants nothing to do with that.
Of course big fight ensues and they break up. So what happened here? It happens every day and no one did anything wrong. Its just that we are built the opposite of a computer.
We are only capable of remembering bad things and that becomes part of our programming.
PS if she is really bipolar or he is really a lying deadbeat, dont worry it will be apparent in a few days or less.
As an old Armenian saying says you cant hide the shit under the snow it is guaranteed to appear
So do I have a solution? If I did or if I come up with one I will probably become the richest man in the world.
Even Elon Musk cant fool the human mind to make the best choices all the time, especially in an emotional relationship.
Its a lot easier to build a Tesla. I can assure you that my #1 tip will help you remember or at least give you a positive resource to continue doing what is “right”
Ironically even I, who make it a mission to write down everything, forgot that the collagen supplement I was taking restored my nails and I had not taken it the past few days.
Its a struggle to actually remember or annotate the positive results that you have enjoyed over the years and decades of your life.
Your brain will not automatically remember all of the great things and all of the right things you have done.
It will not remember when you were eating the foods that kept you energized all day.
It will not remember when you had the perfect breakfast that kept you energized and happy even past your normal lunch hour.
It will not remember the stretches or exercise that your body and mind loved.
It will not remember the teas or herbs that really resonated for you for relaxation or energy or even for pooping LOL.
It will not remember any of the good shit, pardon the pun, because there was no pain involved.
You have to proactively have a system to record the positive programs that your body has experienced.
If you do you can “restore” them or reload them just like you do for you computer when it crashes.
When you “crash” you need to be an investigator of the path that led you to the crash in addition to having the program available to restore your “computer” to running efficiently.
Sure you remember the negative painful things like that if you have that 4th or 5th drink you will feel like shit. Thats painful.
But did you remember that one hour in the sun makes you happy? Or maybe a certain supplements or vitamins seemed to be what you were taking that whole week?
If you are a normal human being you go about life when you are happy without a care in the world not even knowing why you are happy. Why should you?
Again at the very least be aware. You are the opposite of a computer. I think its hilariously ironic. Of course it was necessary as a survival mechanism.
You and all of your ancestors for millions of years do remember not to walk into a fire.
If even one of your ancestors didnt have a sweet tooth you wouldnt be reading this.
Your “line” would have died off millions of years ago from poison sumac or some other poison berry or leaf.
How is that sweet tooth working out for you today? Its opposite world everything that we have evolutionarily adapted to in order to survive is working against us.
You need to actually take positive actions to work against your inherited evolutionary adaptations. Not the least of which is your sweet tooth.
In addition with all of the running, hunting and gathering your ancestors had to do, and the prolonged periods of “no food”, you are also programmed to rest when you can and conserve your energy and your fat reserves.
If you arent efficient at storing fat you wouldnt be here. Your ancestors never would have survived prolonged periods in between hunting and capturing food.
I am sure that there are even more things that our bodies and our minds do to protect us that are no longer relevant today and actually are detrimental today. Was the internet around a million years ago? Thats a trick question.
Is it possible that we, or at least those of us who survived are equipped to notice the slightest movement or sexual cues? Like an approaching lion or predator?
What about from the opposite sex? Maybe even those of us who survived and procreated are programmed to get aroused easily so we can procreate and survive.
How is that working out today? Ask any guy. Heck even ask me and I am many decades past my twenties.
Do you think being easily sexually distracted is a benefit in today’s society? Well lets see there are females making millions on porn sites.
So I guess it is benefitting some people. There is the “semi porn” industry.
What about the Kardashians of the world capitalizing on big butts to attract the opposite sex to sell pretty much everything.
But sorry I digress. Actually I am not digressing. Think, think, think. What else is built into your human brain and body that is serving you and what is hurting you and what can you use to your advantage?
PS I am not advocating everyone become a porn star. I am advocating understanding how your mind works and what “programs” work for you.
Take advantage of what works for you and avoid what doesnt.
If you are an “aware” person that notices everything, because you were programmed to survive in the wild, perhaps you need to stay off Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and the rest if you want to get any work done. I think that applies to all of us.
Let me conclude with this.
1 Be more like your computer and save the programs that make you happy healthy and wealthy.
2 Take notes (either in a word, as a diary, or excel document) so you can restore your positive program, so when your positive train derails you can look back and see what was working when all was great.
3 Use code words so you can “edit” or “find” what was working, by searching key words like “feel great” “slept great” “nails great” ” hair great” “mood great” or whatever is important to you that you might jot down and what you were doing at that time so you can “restore” that.
3 Be aware when your negative program shows up to interfere at the wrong time.
It might just be that a painful memory was triggered inadvertently. Dont worry it will be abundantly clear if the negative program is called for.
I remember reading an example in a book about Neurolinguistic programming.
A person was at a funeral. It was his father and a terrible time of grief. Each person that passed by him touched his left shoulder and expressed their sympathy.
A year later someone touched his left shoulder and he went into a deep depression and had no idea why. Simultaneously stored information is simultaneously released.
We are extremely complex computers with more links than any computer on the planet. Use it to your advantage or suffer its consequences.
No one is exactly like you. Only you can design perfect programs for you.
We have all done it at times. I remember when I was jogging 5 miles a day.. Wow a hit of endorphins perfect weight.
To this day I am trying to design a program to replicate all of those benefits. However I need to find a different path.
As I said in my previous blog, eggs are like a miracle food for me. I dont know if its the omega 3 or the full complement of amino acids or the protein in the morning but it really makes me feel great and have a lot of energy.
I just researched it. I do eat sardines, tuna and salmon for lunch. They have more protein and less fat.
Fat is the ultimate store of energy. So thats probably one reason why eggs might be better for me. Also eggs have choline, thats great for your brain and eggs have cholesterol.
You need cholesterol to make hormones. This is going to be very interesting for me. I might have to make a post on eggs vs fish. For me bee pollen for my allergies.
Like I said we all have our lists of things that work for us. Mine is in writing yours may not be attainable because you have never taken the time to even notice it let alone annotate it.
But trust me if you dont write it down its no different than not having a working program to restore on your computer. Its just the way we have evolved.
