Be the one minute manager of yourself

Now that I started on the path of “happiness” for this blog and self improvement tips ( see the no 1 tip we can all use   )  Let me elaborate with another idea melded from a few different sources.  There was a famous management book a few decades ago, called the one minute manager.  In essence it said that even the worst worker is doing something right at some point in time.  So the idea is to catch them doing something right and celebrate it and reward it to encourage more of the behavior you want.  Well some days you need to apply that to yourself.  You might be so down in the dumps that you literally have to keep a sharp eye out to find anything that you are doing right.  It might be something as little as a healthy breakfast a short walk or doing something right for work or a phone call that needs to be made or a bill that needs to be paid.  Well you need to give yourself a huge pat on the back and credit for taking action, especially when you dont feel like it.  Do you understand ?  Its incredibly hard to do anything right when you feel all wrong and dont feel like doing anything.  Sure you are also allowed to give yourself some time off, but if you really want to get out of your rut you need to encourage postitive behavior.
